DELEGATES OF NAVGTR CORP. ELECTED

November 28, 2005 -- The National Academy of Video Game Testers & Reviewers Corp. announced today that seven members have been elected as delegates to oversee the balloting for the 5th Annual NAViGaTR Awards.  The final ballot will be sent to all registered voters to determine the nominees in each category.  The delegates are Jason Ballew, Misha Davenport, Adam DiTroia, Stephen Jacobs, Paul Marzagalli, Dennis McCauley, and Greg O’Connor-Read.  Last year’s delegates were Charles Herold, Dave Halverson, and Dennis McCauley.

Jason Ballew has been playing computer and video games since his childhood in the days of Donkey Kong and the Atari 2600.  He has been working as a reporter and reviewer for Gaming Trend (http://www.gamingtrend.com) since November 2004.  Gaming Trend was formerly known as Console Gold.

Misha Davenport has been covering the video games industry, including coverage of the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, for the Chicago Sun-Times throughout the past four years. He currently co-writes a weekly column of game reviews that has been running in the paper's Weekend section for the past two years.  Additionally, Misha frequently appears on television and radio programs to discuss the video game industry.

Adam DiTroia creates music and sound effects for video games, television, film, the web, and mobile technologies. Some of his credits include two game projects for the popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, Taxi 3: Extreme Rush, The Wraith: Eyes of Judgment, and numerous national and local television commercials. A partial list of credits can be found at www.ditroiaaudio.com.  Adam comes from a very musical family. His father played session guitar with such artists as Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand, Simon and Garfunkel, The Monkess, Neil Diamond, and many others. It was his father that first opened his eyes to the world of music. Adam’s passion for scoring manifested at an early age. After hearing the work of John Williams in Star Wars, Adam was affected on a deeper level than even he realized at that time. He first became interested in scoring video games after playing Metroid on the original Nintendo. One of the things he loves about scoring video games is the opportunity to help create alternate realities. Adam is endorsed by Mackie and IK Multimedia.

Stephen Jacobs is currently on the Faculty of RIT where he teaches courses in history, analysis writing, and design of computer games.  He's been a journalist covering personal technology and games for 20 years.  Stephen serves on the Executive Board of the IGDA Writers SIG (special interest group), and his “Writesizing” article on game writing appeared in the November 2004 issue of Game Developer magazine:  http://www.gdmag.com/archive/nov04.htm.

Paul Marzagalli reviews games, films, books, etc. at www.Amazon.com and www.paperbackreader.com.  He recently completed work on his M.A. in Higher Education Administration and is currently staring down a number of Doctoral programs.

Dennis McCauley is the video game columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer and St. Paul Pioneer-Press.  He is also editor of www.GamePolitics.com.

Greg O'Connor-Read is the founder and editor of www.Music4Games.net, the award-winning website for game music infotainment.  Greg has been a leading promoter of original music for games since 1999. Music4Games.Net is the #1 resource for game music consumers and enthusiasts, including composers, developers, producers, and business execs in the videogame music industry.
