November 17, 2004 -- The National Academy of Video Game Testers & Reviewers Corp. announced today that three committee members have been selected to oversee the balloting for the 4th Annual NAViGaTR Awards.  The final ballot will be sent to all registered voters to determine the nominees in each category.  The delegates are Charles Herold, Dave Halverson, and Dennis McCauley.

Charles Herold writes game reviews for the New York Times.  His published reviews include Boktai, Enter the Matrix, Splinter Cell, Stuntman, Eternal Darkness, Sims Vacation, SimGolf, Ico, Half-Life, Crimson Skies, Zone of the Enders, Serious Sam, Parasite Eve II, Escape from Monkey Island, The Longest Journey, and many more.  Charles is also a singer/songwriter who specializes in perverse and unwholesome songs of a humorous nature. His songs have been played on the nationally syndicated “Dr. Demento” show, New York City's largest radio station K-ROCK, and a variety of public, independent and college stations in the United States and Holland.

Dave Halverson began his editorial career in 1992 when he launched the grass roots GameFan Magazine.  Before that, Dave jump-started the video game import mail order trade with the "Die Hard Game Club" in 1990.  Dave also became the creative force and editor-in-chief of Gamers' Republic until he finally started his own publication in 1999, Play Magazine, the first video game magazine aimed at an older demographic featuring games, anime, and other points of interest for gamers. Dave's driving force is his passion for games and the people who make them.
